The Friends of the Bigelow Free Public Library (“the Friends”) is a non-profit organization made up of individuals, families, and businesses who share an interest in supporting the Bigelow Free Public Library. Our mission is simple – to support the Bigelow Free Public Library through fundraising, advocacy and outreach, and to spread awareness of the library’s services and events. Fulfilling our mission ensures the community continues to benefit from the services and resources our library provides.
The Friends support the programs and patrons of the library through events, fundraisers, volunteerism, and advocacy. We sponsor Summer Reading Club programs, and cultural and educational workshops. The money we raise and donate to the library helps to purchase discount passes to local museums and attractions, annual movie performance licenses, and library equipment and furniture! We raise funds primarily through membership dues, book sales, donations and other fundraisers. Many families and individuals in our community benefit from, and enjoy, the library programs we support.
To support to the Friends of the Bigelow Free Public Library, you can become a member or send a donation today!
